CELL SITE ANALYSIS

Cell Site Analysis refers to the examination of historical cellphone records – also known as Call Detail Records (CDRs) – along with a list of cell tower locations. Using these records we can map an approximate location of a phone on a given date and time. These records are obtained via legal process from telecommunications providers (Verizon, AT&T, etc.) and provide detailed information such as the date, time, duration and origin of a call. With enough data from the CDRs, we can help establish a pattern of behavior over time. And since many people are naturally tethered to their phones, this has become a vital tool for many civil and criminal litigation cases. Depending on the situation, CDR analysis can be utilized to show that a person was likely at – or not at – a particular location on a given date and time.

We have been fortunate to receive extensive training in cell site analysis, including training from some of the foremost experts who were among the first in the United States to use this technology for cases.
